600 Ferrari’s in Hong Kong
More than 600 Ferraris under
one roof, representing every era of the Italian automaker’s
craftsmanship, enraptured the people of Hong Kong. The massive fleet of
Prancing Horse cars made their way to the Asia World Expo on the island
of Lantau to celebrate Ferrari’s 30 years of presence in Hong Kong. The
event marked the single largest gathering of Maranello’s sports cars
ever organized in China. The 600 Ferraris in red, white and yellow were
arranged to form the Bauhinia Blakeana which is a five-petal flower
representing the symbol of Hong Kong.
Among the 600 odd Ferraris present were some rare and exotic machines
from the past, such as the 195 Inter, the 365 GTC and the Dino, as well
as the very best examples of the modern sports car, such as the 458
Challenge and the laboratory cars, the 599 XX and FXX Evoluzione. The
new 458 Speciale
was also unveiled by Marc Gene, Scuderia Ferrari’s test driver, at the
event along with the company’s president Luca di Montezemolo.
