Top 10 Hong Kong Restaurants

Hong Kong‘s restaurant scene can pretty much be summed up by supermodel Heidi Klum’s famous quote, “One day you’re in, the next, you’re out.” With so many restaurants opening and closing each day (some so quickly that we can’t remember what used to be in its place), keeping track of our city’s eateries is a near impossible task.

Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of 10 new and exciting restaurants in Hong Kong that have opened this year for your viewing pleasure. Whether you’re tired of your usual haunts or simply looking to get caught up with what’s happening on the scene, these 10 restaurants are sure to be hot on the lips of the Hong Kong foodie crowd.

Michelin-starred chef Marco Gubbiotti joins forces with Hong Kong’s famed Italian mixologist Giancarlo Mancino at Il Milione, the newest Italian restaurant to open in Central’s Hutchison House. Dishes are made with seasonal produce in the slow-cooked method, while vintage cocktails like the 1930s-styled Manhattan and bitter sweet Negroni take the spotlight at the bar.

The authentic Neopolitan pizzas at Motorino are impossible to resist.

It doesn’t get more authentic than this — fresh Neopolitan pizzas made in a traditional wood fired oven, topped with San Marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella cheese and surrounded by a light, yet airy crust. This newest addition on Shelley Street is brought to us by chef Mathieu Palombino, who runs two other Motorino pizzerias in New York.
